Dear Mr. Shellabarger,
My name is Dylan Holmer. I am a student in your third hour English class this semester at Evanston High. I am writing this letter to tell you a little about myself. I was born April 28, 1993
in Salt Lake City, Ut. I grew up in a small town outside of Coalville called Wanship. I lived on my grandfathers farm where i would do just about anything i wanted. and until i was about six years old the closest kid around my age lived about a half a mile down the road. Afteer that my dad's sister's family moved next door. I lived there and went to school in Coalville until i was in fifth grade when we had to move to Evanston because my dad lost his job in North Summit as a Sheriff's Deputy. He was fired for no good reason because he was still on probation so they didnt need a reason to fire him, however my family believes he was fired because the newly elected sheriff found out that my dad voted for his opponent. Anyway, i was really pissed off that we had to move up here because in Coalville, for one thing, i had a lot of friends and,for another thing, fifth grade in Coalville is middle school whereas up here it is Elementary so i felt like a little kid again.Since then I've realized that Evanston is better, in many ways, than North Summit. The schools are better, there are more people to be friends with, and you don't have to drive 20 miles to get to the nearest store.
Now I will tell you about some of the things i like/dislike. I am stuck in the 80's. I love anything 80's. The music from that era is the greatest of all time. Hair bands are my reason for living. I love any hair band you can think of, i swear to you that i was born into the wrong generation. Another thing i like from the 80's are the movies. My favorite movie of all time is "The Breakfast Club". My hobbies are playing drums, playing bass, playing playstation, and playing football. Football is the only sport i play. I lettered this year and should have my jacket sometime this or next month. I love playing the drums, it is my passion, however i recently broke my bass drum pedal so i have not been able to play it lately. I also like playing the electric bass guitar but i don't play it as often except for in jazz band. I hope to make it a good semester and will try to get a good grade.
sincerely,
Dylan Holmer
